FINALLY GOT MY NAILS DONE!!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,

OK, I swear it has been forever and a day since I last did my nails. && don't be judgy, ok? I have my reasons. For one, I seriously have zero to nonexistent down-time. It takes me a good while to do my nails because I like for them to be perfect and then they always chip super fast (like within forty-eight hours.) Apparently, it has to do with my nail enamel. I don't know.

Anyway, I finally took a lazy day on Sunday and painted them. Mainly,  I did this because I was watching Youtube videos and I feel like every girl that does Youtube videos has nails that are just on-point all the time. You know what I'm talking about. Also, I (somewhat) recently got this very cute color in an Ipsy bag, and I LOVED the way it looked so I was just dying to try it. I've been a bit obsessed with the color purple lately. Especially dusty, lilac-y purples like this one.

See below for cute images of my freshly-did nails and the adorable little polish box and whatnot:

The color is Elegantly Wasted by Trust Fund Beauty and you can purchase that same one here. && Like I mentioned earlier, I received this in an Ipsy Glam Bag.

Peep my ADORABLE PROMISE RING.

&& I'd love to know what your favorite Ipsy products are!? Fave nail polished of all time? Brands/ Colors?? I would LOVE to know; Comment below!!
As always, thanks for reading!

My Writing Career is Growing!! | Writing for FIU's AMA Blog

'Ello lovelies,

Recently I began writing for my university's American Marketing Association's blog: Hear Me Roar. I joined the organization about a month and a half ago and right away they wanted me writing. An old friend manages the blog and she know I love to write so she got me a spot on their blogging team. It's so exciting and I am so happy. I just really wanted to share this with you all.

I've written have three published posts so far:

&& I have another post pending editing and approval before it goes live this upcoming week.

You can find all my published posts linked here on my author profile. (HOW COOL IS IT THAT I HAVE AN AUTHOR'S PROFILE?!?!)

Although I feel like writing for living is not something I see myself doing, it is something I enjoy quite fondly. I have decided that as my posts go publishing, I will be posting about them in here as well as linking them so you can read it while getting the whole effect with all the pretty pictures, fonts, and whatnot. Plus, I get brownie points if my posts have the most views by our next writers meeting. Which, not to toot my own horn, actually is happening. It just makes me feel all fuzzy inside to know that people are reading my stuff and enjoying it.

If you are curious, and read any of them, PLEASEEEEEEEEE leave a comment letting me know you liked it. If you didn't, tell me why, Just PLEASE LET ME KNOW what you guys thought. Again, I will be linking those as they go publishing throughout the month. Thank you guys so much for taking the time to read this && supporting my writing in this blog, even if I totally suck at posting on here. I hope to try to get way better at it. For now, forgive me.

Besitosssss,

CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC: Lazy Days: Friend or Foe??

Hey there Internet Peeps!

I was, just now, struck with a moment of pure enlightenment. We all LOVE lazy days, but does that make them the greatest thing on this planet or an even greater reason to worry? Today, I decided I would have a lazy day. Rather, it was decided for me. I beat laziness on daily basis by making my bed first thing in the morning and jumping in the shower- or at the very least a cute outfit to which combat the day in.

Today, however, I was just not having it. I woke up super late (10:30ish) and just rolled around in the sheets for a good hour before deciding I was hungry enough to move. I brushed my teeth and grabbed some cereal... before returning back to my un- made bed in my slept- in pajamas. I proceeded to open up Youtube and watch some videos. For about SEVEN HOURS, that is. My entire day I was spent in bed! It sounds like a dream but I had so many things I should have been doing. (Like writing for this amazing blog that I have been slacking on so so so much lately.) Which brings me to my question- Lazy Days: Friend or Foe?

My conclusion is as follows: We should all be allowed a lazy day every once in a while. Maybe half a lazy day would be more functional if you have a lot going on. It's so easy to stay cuddled up in your warm sheets, fuzzy socks, and pillow pet crowded bed. It's easy to forget there is a world outside our bedroom walls, and that my dear friends, is where the danger comes in. Don't take a lazy day the day before a final. It won't be pretty the next day. Consider Sundays, consider lazy half days, consider lazy afternoons (once most of your daily to do list is completed). And always make sure to be in control of our our frenemie the lazy day. Lazy days should not control us!

That's all for tonight folks. I'll see ya' real soon. (Yes, vintage Disney reference. Props to all who caught that.)

Love you all mucho,
Simply Lissy, XO

Oops Order from Cricket Paper Co.

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo,

Sorry it's been so long. It's been a bit hectic lately; last week I had two exams and Wednesday I leave for NACA in Tennessee! But without further ado, I would love to share with you all my recent order from Cricket Paper Co. I am so in love with her designs. They are so adorable. When I saw she listed Oops Bags at $5 for anywhere between 10- 12 sheets, I knew I had to get them!

& these are the lovely treasures I got:

Picture One Breakdown:
Top on the Left: December Ombre Checklist
Second to Top, Left: Party Balloons
Second to Last, Left: Red Floral Set
Last on the Left: Confetti Set
Top on the Right: Purple and Green Set
Second to Top, Right: September Ombre Checklists
Second to Last, Right: Targets
Last on the Right: Water Cups

Picture Two Breakdown:
Middle: Toy Story Set
Bottom: Watermelon Set

Picture Three Breakdown:
VERY, VERY COOL that she includes one sheet of unreleased stickers with each oops order. It helps you compare with her usual quality, plus MORE PLANNER STICKERS.

I could not be happier with everything I received. It was A LOT of stickers; all totally usable and super cute and SUPER CHEAP. They come out to under 50 cents a sheet. BARGAIN!! I feel like this is a fun and affordable way to increase your planner sticker stock. Plus, it's also really fun to now know what comes inside! Lots of Etsy shops follow a similar concept of oops sheets or grab bags so be on the look-out.

Props to Erica over at Cricket Paper Co. Your designs are phenomenal (even the Oops ones). KEEP IT UP!

Hopefully I can take a moment to tomorrow to post up my mid-week (a bit early) so that you can see some of these amazing stickers in action.

love you always,
Simply Lissy, xo

Target Stationary Finds!

I am head over heels for target stationary. Check out my recent finds:

Starting to the far right there are some pads. My favorite is the "thoughts & doodles" one. The "thankful, grateful, blessed" one is being used for Bible study- it's so perfectly fitting. Then I got a pack of sticky notes that say etc. on top. To the right of that, I got THE MOST ADORABLE binder clips ever. I just had to have them. And below that, some Washi finds.

Here is the Washi close up. The two striped ones were each $0.89! They're the only thing in this haul NOT from the One Spot. The bottom washi was $1 at the One Spot section.

I also got a cute black tin (not pictured above) to keep my pencils in.

Some Targets are now getting the Darice sticker books in their One Spot sections. Unfortunately, my Target is not up to speed with the Darice trend.

Happy hauling,
Simply Lissy XO

Plan It Pretty Etsy Order!

Got my Oops Grab Bag from Plan it Pretty yesterday and I can just say how excited and pleased I am!! First of all, the stickers are super cute. Secondly, the grab bag comes with five sheets and between samplers and the grab bag, I received eight!

Pictured below, are all the fabulous things I received:

I've linked all the items, if available to her Etsy shop.

Top left: "Thank you" Autumn Mini Sampler
Second from the top left: Plan It Pretty Fall Sampler
Second to last, left: Pastel Rainbow TVs. These look 100% perfect to me. I can use them all.
Bottom left: "But First, Coffee" Seasonal stickers. Came missing one, other than that perfect, can use them all.
Top center: Gold Boxes. (Purchase similar here.) One has a black square on it, and a few have a colorful browser around (doesn't show when you peel it though). Basically, can use all but one.
Top right: November Acorn big background squares. These look perfect to me. I can use them all.
Second from the top, right: Same November Acorn theme as above but smaller squares and some dots. Again, these look perfect to me. I can use them all.
Bottom left: Pink, Black, & Green Paisely Set. Has a black square that covers three stickers partially. I can use the pink square that is affected if I place a sticker over it. The pink bar is barely affected so I can use that one too. Basically, can use all but one.

THANK YOU PLAN IT PRETTY! YOUR DESIGNS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND I'M SO EXCITED TO PUT THESE BABIES TO GREAT USE.

Side note: If anyone reading this wants to order an Oops Grab Bag, this bag was only $7.50. All the stickers were matte. She brings these out periodically so BE ON THE LOOKOUT.
Her ship time was super fast. I put in the order on the 13th and they arrived on the 18th- record time for anything I've ordered on Etsy.

I'm so pleased with my purchase and I can't wait to use them. Thank you, Plan It Pretty!

Lots of love,

Ipsy Bag Reveal: September 2015

September 16th, 2015 I received my Ipsy bag for the month. Theme: Face Fashion.

Below are the contents:

The bag is a shimmery chrome gold color and it's actually longer than the usual ones.

On top of the bag, I received a cream blush in the shade Ash by Evio Beauty (that's the little black circle). Beside that is a Mini Brow Trio in Shades of Brow by pixi by petra. To the right of that, a Mini Matte Lip Crayon in the shade Nantucket Nude. That's kind of funny considering I spent my Labor Day weekend around Nantucket. This is also my favorite thing in the bag.

Above the bag are two additional products I received. The one on the left is an Argan Oil by Octavio. The one on the right is a Flashmud Brightening Treatment by Glam Glow.

Not my favorite Ipsy bag ever and the contents were all sample sizes which never really happens and is a little disappointing. However, still not too bad for only $10 a month.

Lots of love,

I haven't received this order yet. It actually just shipped but I'm so ready.  It's an Oops Grab Bag with five sheets for only $7.50. Great deal and I've heard from other Planner Girls that most of the time the stickers aren't in unusable condition- few cuts off here and there or ink smudge.

Mid-Week Spread!

Geez, what a dramatic last post! Let's lighten the mood, shall we?

Below you can find my mid-week spread for the Week of September the 7th through the 13th, 2015.

Voilà! There it is. As you can see, I did a little monsters the this week and I really wanted to feature the September colors of my Erin Condren Life Planner.

My Planning History:

Zip. Zilch. Nada.... Okay, that's not entirely true. I've always been a lister (I make lists. For everything.) I also have always had an agenda, be it the free ones from school or a cute little one or now my ECLP (also known as the love of my life.) However, I say I have no planning experience because I recently discovered this new world of decorating planner spreads. Let me tell you, I was in awe at some of these girls' planners. I mean, they look so impossibly beautiful. I needed to try it out. So about three weeks ago I tried it out for the first time. It came out freaking adorable, if I do say so myself! This week it is my fourth spread and also my lightest because I was out of town for the long weekend and did a belated planning Tuesday evening which threw me off my game a little. But I love those little monster stickers so I do like the way the spread is turning out.

Sticker Sources and Supplies Breakdown:

All the monster stickers came in a Sticko sticker sheet pack I got at Michaels. The fuschia Washi is from Walgreens and the green hexagon print duct tape is from Big Lots. The letter stickers that I used to spell Boston are from a scrapbook kit, I already owned and I can't remember where that is from. The little flag stickers are Matte and they are from Fleur De Lis Planners. The heart checklist (glossy) is also from her, along with the adorable little laundry sticker (matte)! I only own stickers from her, for right now. It was the first shop I bought from because she had this massive sale. I'm waiting on an order from Cricket Paper Co. currently. (You can actually see that in the side bar of the spread, if you look closely.) VERY excited for that. Finally, the color label stickers are the ones that come with the ECLP in the back.
The pens I used on the actual white space of the paper are the Erin Condren Pens, but not the newer ones- the original ones. On the stickers and the ECLP label stickers, I used just a black Ultra Fine Point Sharpie Marker.

& that is my mid-week spread! Hope you guys liked it.

Besitos,

Back to School / Stationary Haul

Hey Shopaholics!

OK, so here's a little something about me- I love (like to-die-for Romeo & Juliet love) stationary, office supplies, cutesy little things, sticky notes, the sorts. In this haul, I didn't buy anything considered "supplies" really. I like to purchase my class supplies after I know for sure how the professor has their class set up and if I am not dropping or chaining the course. So this was like my Part One. Let's get right to it.

Note: This post is more Lifestyle-Blog related so it may seem a little rambled because I was just super excited to share everything with you all.

~xoxo~

First I head to Target, and I am obsessed with their Dollar Spot stationary collections- I think they're so cute I love how often they have new things. I did have to control myself (lol, yes my shopaholicism is that bad!) because I would just take two of everything if I really could. So here is what I got:

All of the items shown here are from Target at the Dollar Spot and though their items range from one to three dollars everything here cost me one one dollar.

Over on the top left is a little Weekly Planner, I really liked the dusty purple color on this along with the chevron-ish print it has going on. I do use an Erin Condren Life Planner which I absolutely adore; it's my baby. However, I purchased this because I want to start decorating my planner pages in my Erin Condren like people do because I think they look super cute- so this I bought just to fill in my upcoming due assignments along with page numbers, readings, due dates, etc.
Under that, I got some cute Page Flags- these are going to be used for my Erin Condren, along with marking things in my textbooks etc. I think the Purple and Grey look really good with the upcoming September color scheme for the Erin Condren so that was a bonus!
At the top center, are some giant push pins which I thought were just super cute for the bulletin board above my desk.
Below that, I got a cute notepad that reads "take note," I thought the font was so cute so yup, that's pretty much all I needed and I was sold. I will be using this to take notes of all my Couponing deals because it's a lot more compact than carrying prints out or a bunch of regular sized papers with notes.
Over on the right, I got some cute To-Do Sticky Notes and some square ones with a pretty flower. I love sticky notes (you guys know this from how often I post cheap stickies I find!) and I love making lists so that was that.

My book-bag is also from Target, I just didn't take a picture of it. However I found it online, so if you're curious you can click here to check it out.

~xoxo~

Next we move to Office Max/ Depot (apparently they're one company now?!) & I promise that the Target Haul was the longest so bear with me... Here's what I got:

Starting at the bottom right, I got a 24 count of Fine Tip Sharpies. I love sharpies and I only had regular tip black ones at home so I figured I would get some. These are Regular Price $19.99 but this week they're marked down to $10! So great deal. Also, there is a $0.75 OFF Sharpie Permanent Marker Product of three count or higher from a recent insert. (I recently changed my couponing system from the filing method to a couponing binder so I'm not sure which insert exactly that is from. Sorry!) So bringing your total down to $9.25. Making each UNIT roughly $0.39- great price, I think.
On the left, I got three packs of 100 sheets College Ruled Filler Paper. I got these beacuse this week they are on sale for only a penny with a minimum of a $5 purchase (limit three). This is just always great to have and be stocked-up on.
On top of the paper are some cute page flags in four colors. These were marked down on clearance for $3 but the packaging was a little opened at the top so I was able to receive an additional 50% OFF making them only $1.50.
Finally, all the way at the top, I got a four pack of Office Depot/ Max brand macaroon erasers... Honestly, I have no reason to have gotten these other than I think they are adorable and were only a buck, so I just needed to have them.

~xoxo~

Moving on, I went to Walgreens and got a few rolls of washi tape from the clearance section. I did blog about this earlier so hopefully you were able to find some cute ones and stick up! I only bought three, as you can see below:

The top one I loved because it goes so well with the Target Dollar Spot Collection. The second one also goes nicely with the collection, plus it's always nice to have solid washi. These were each only $0.79. The bottom one I thought was so so cute because I love to travel and that one was $1.79, which is still a great price.

~xoxo~

Finally, I went over to Michael's to grab some quick items for working on spreads in my Erin Condren Life Planner.

On the far left are some cute monkey stickers from Sticko. I got these on clearance for only $0.49, so I will be doing a monkey spread hopefully soon.
On the center and far right, I got some Adhesive Craft Paper and I've never tried this out but I figured why not as each was marked down to only $2. I will be attempting to use these as backgrounds for the morning/day/night squares.

~xoxo~

SO THAT WAS MY HAUL!
If you're still with me, thanks so much for reading!! I know this was a long one but I was just so excited about everything I got.
Comment below and let me know what you thought!
Are you a stationary addict, too? Or just have a haul post? Link it below, I'd love to check it out!

Till next time my beautiful Shopaholics! Stay fabulous!

Product Review: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

Happy Monday, Shopaholics.

I come to you all bearing fabulous news about a product I had some time to try out and totally loved: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs.

I posted a week or so ago about how I got invited into the @SallyHansen Virtual VoxBox on @Influenster and I was so stoked! If you've never heard of Influenster, it's basically a site where you receive campaigns and #contest(s) to try out FREE full sized goodies in exchange for an honest review and social media postings. If that sounds appealing to you, you can join by clicking here. I also shared a coupon that you guys could use if you wanted to try it out yourselves and join me in the #ABLChallenge. If you're new to my blog, you can check out those posts here and here. If you would like a direct link to the coupon, click here.

Okay, now that all that technical stuff is out of the way, let's talk about the product.

I live in the Sunshine State where it is actually not all that sunny lately and I have moderately to generously fair skin, which is why I got so excited to be invited into this VoxBox. I am a little skeptical with self-tanners, especially for your legs and if you've ever seen Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, you can understand why (hint: pool + tanner = orange legs, not cute.)

My experience with the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs was, however, above par. I purchased the Medium shade because I wanted to look bronzed and like I actually do live in Miami. I tested it out at home, on a rainy day, where no one could see me, just in case (I know, I know, I live life on the edge.) However, after evening out my legs, I looked like a Barbie. My legs looked longer and toned, no gym membership needed. Who knew the help you could get from a leg tanner?

Since my little fiasco at home, I have dressed up my legs for a Girls Night Out and several Date Nights on the town. I even got asked how I managed to get so tan without getting sun-burnt! Hey, what they won't know won't hurt them. It's a little secret to keep among my Shopaholics. (;

If you're in the market for a self-tanner for your legs, try out Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, you won't regret it. Here's a coupon to sweeten the deal. Special thanks to +Influenster for inviting me to join this campaign and #contest and +SallyHansenTV for Sponsoring this Virtual VoxBox!

Already tried it? Comment below and let me know what you thought.

Till next time,Shopaholics
XOXO, Lissy

AZSPORT Swim Cap Product Review

Want to know what I had to say about AZSPORT's Swim Cap? Check it out:

GREAT SWIM CAP.

Firstly, I love the little plastic bag in comes in because I can just zip the wet cap back inside when I'm done using it and throw it into my purse without having to worry about wetting anything. I have a similar bag for my swimsuit and it just makes life THAT MUCH MORE convenient.

Next, I love the spot reserved for my ears, it helps the cap fit snug without moving around and releasing my hair. This also helps to keep the silicone from pulling at my ears (ouch!)

I also really enjoyed the added bonuses it comes with. The ear plugs and nose plug come in a little carrying case so don't lose them if you don't use them. It's very comfortable to have those on hand instead of loosely thrown in your workout bag.

Great product, overall.

Blog Review Exclusive: My favorite part is that it included the ear plugs and nose plus in a cute little plastic box. Apart from being convenient, it so cute! That and the plastic bag it all came in to avoid wetting my bag. I love that the company thought of those little details.

Cell Phone Holder Product Review

Hey Shopaholics,

If you're in the market for a new, quality cellphone holder, you're in luck. I just finished trying out this Cell Phone Holder from iGotTech. Below is my review.

When I first tried this out, I had a hard time sticking it on my car window. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! It sticks well if you do it how the directions direct.

However, be careful at what angle you stick your phone or GPS, my phone fell off twice because at the angle I had it set up, the weight was too much.

Basically, it takes some getting used to and the set up is tricky but once it's set up it works fairly well. & I like that once the stickyness wears off you can wash it to use it again instead of having to buy a new product.

Try It Tuesday!

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub is, besides a mouthful, a product I was recently sent to try for free via Influenster (join for your own free goodies here.)

Thanks to multiple products that advertise the cure to clogged pores but fail to fulfill their promises, I was a bit skeptical that this could really exfoliate dead skin cells and blackheads, unclog pores, and buff skin to a smoother complexion. Turns out this scrub is actually really, really good... and it smells incredible!

The key to this product is its natural ingredients and exfoliants like corn kernel, walnut shell powder, and apricot extract. It also uses a paraben-free and sulfate- free formula for optimum strength. Which basically means it lacks icky preservatives that can cause issues like breast cancer or problems with fertility in the long-run.

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub works to deeply cleanse pores, leaving skin feeling smoother and glowing after every use. I felt this product worked very well for my skin and a major bonus was the great smell. Now I can, #LiveRadiantly!

I received this product and more complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. My review is my complete and honest opinion. If you would like to subscribe for your own free goodies, click here.

Thanks for reading and have a fabulous day!
